Leo Madigan (born 28 September 1939, Nelson, New Zealand) is an author.[1][2][3][4][5] As of 2013 he is living in Fátima, Portugal.[6]

Biography

Career

Preparatory School, St Thomas', NaeNae, Lower Hutt, N.Z. Sisters of Mercy.

Secondary: Sacred Heart, Auckland, Marist Brothers.

1956: To sea as Catering Boy, m.v. Wendover, London.

1958-1960: novitiate with Trappist Order.

Worked as psychiatric nurse, and short spell in the Royal Horse Guards.

1963. On the London stage in minor roles.

1964-1975. British Merchant Navy, a rating in engine room and on deck.

Sidney Webb College Central London.

1978 B.Ed degree, University of London.

1979-81.Worked in the educational arm of The Marine Society and editor of magazine, The Seafarer and teaching at Gravesend Sea School.

1981-82. Teaching at Fathi Lisesi (High School) Izmir, Turkey.

1982. To Falkland Islands on m.v. Uganda for Marine Society.

1983–1988 Teacher in London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
