Peters (born February 27, 1961) is a member of the Florida House of Representatives (elected in 2012), former mayor of South Pasadena, Florida (2009–2012) and was a member of the South Pasadena City Commission in 2008. She was a Republican candidate in Florida's 13th congressional district special election, 2014. She resides in South Pasadena. Peters and her husband have four children and four grandchildren. She received an A.A. from St. Petersburg College and a B.A. in Human Development from Eckerd College.
