Karen Jane McNamara (born 23 April 1964) is an Australian politician. She has been a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives representing the Division of Dobell in New South Wales since September 2013.

Career

McNamara is a former New South Wales public servant, serving in senior roles for over 20 years.[1] McNamara managed the electoral campaign of Darren Webber for the electoral district of Wyong at the New South Wales state election, 2011.[2] In 2013 Webber was forced to resign from the Liberal Party due to irregularities in his electoral fundraising creating corruption concerns. [3]

At the Australian federal election, 2013, she successfully ousted sitting member, independent Craig Thomson, and narrowly defeated Labor candidate Emma McBride to win the Central Coast seat of Division of Dobell.[4]
