Template:Rename media/doc

Media bearing this template are added to Category:Wikipedia files requiring renaming. If no suggestion is made for the new name, the media will be added to Category:Incomplete file renaming requests.

Usage: {{rename media|New title|Reason for request}}

• Do not include the "File:" prefix.
• Remember to add the file extension (.jpg, .png, etc).
• This is for media only. For galleries and templates, use {{move}}. For categories, see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.

It has been suggested that this media object be renamed to File:CityisOurscover.jpg or a more suitable name for the following reason: The image's title is misspelled. For further information about when to rename, see Wikipedia:File names. This request will be dealt with by an administrator or file mover.
Perform this move (or if the image is suitable, please consider copying the file to Commons via FileImporter by clicking on the "Export to Wikimedia Commons" link near the top of the file page).

Commons files

Files uploaded to Wikimedia Commons cannot be renamed by Wikipedia administrators or filemovers. Commons:File naming describes how Commons files should be named. In general, Commons aims to provide stable file names as there might be external file clients and file moving involves significant human and computing resources. Thus renaming should be used with caution. To request the rename of a file at Commons, follow the instructions at Commons:File renaming.
