The steam locomotive class kkStB 270 was a tender-class with the Imperial Austrian State Railways (k.k. österreichische Staatsbahnen), kkStB. These locomotives were in services in Austria, Hungary and Albania.

Albanien

Hekurudha Shqiptare, the railway operator of Albania, received some locomotives of this class in 1948. These were the first locomotives for the new railways of the country. The locomotives were renumbered in the 56 class and were former war trophies of Russia. Before that, the locomotives were in use by MÁV, Deutsche Reichsbahn, BBÖ and ÖStB. Locomotive 56 3408, the former 270.110 was still stored near Shkozet in 1998.[1]
