Poets Corner Group is a poetry group consisting creative and talented poets, rhapsodists and rhymesters, with an urge to stand out in the world of words with their poetic art.[1] It was founded in June 2014 by Yaseen Anwer.[2][3]


Today Poets Corner has 19,000-members across the glob. Since its advent, Poets Corner has published over 340 poets in 21 anthologies in both English and Hindi language.[4]

The Poets Corner Group also works towards bringing poetry out in the open by holding various Online Competitions, Poetry Reading Events, Panel Discussion Book Launches, Workshops etc.[5][6] Poets Corner also has a kid’s wing called Newleaf Poetry Group.[7]

History

It was established in June 2011 by Yaseen Anwer.[8] In later years Dolly Singh joined Poets Corner as co- founder. The main objective of this group is to bring out vibrant verses from the ink of wonderful writers across the globe, thus encouraging and supporting creative and deserving poets by having their poetry published.[9]

Delhi Poetry Festival

Delhi Poetry Festival is an annual poetry event organized by Poets Corner in Delhi since 2013.[10][11][12]

Published work

The Poets Corner Group has published several poetry anthologies featuring young poets along with eminent personalities like Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Gulzar, Ruskin Bond, Nida Fazli, Vikram Seth, Irshad Kamil, Shashi Tharoor, Ravish Kumar, Deepti Naval, Sukrita Paul Kumar, Shekhar Kapur, Rahat Indori and many more.[13][14]
