Madonna

Thank you for enlightening me on the house-rules for genres on musician articles. I only became aware of this very recently. Now, I would like to ask that the source be added back in, or that electropop be mention somewhere in the article for this reason: as I'm sure you're aware, I have (unwillingly) become involved in an edit war with two other users on the inclusion of Category:Synthpop musicians on articles. I noticed the category was empty and wanted to populate it (not spamming, I promise! :D ). Anyway, my addition of that category has been reverted numerous times on Madonna (entertainer) and was asked to procure a source, otherwise the category would be immediately reverted every time I added it. Now that my source is no longer in the article, I fear my contribution will be reverted again, possibly leading me to be banned from editing for engaging in edit wars. Do you have any suggestions of where I should add the source to the article, to prevent further reversions? An editor Subtropical-man has re-created List of best-selling music artists (50 million to 69 million records) despite our consensus. I have nominated it for AfD. There was no clear consensus to remove content from Wikipedia (Trimming), but only to reduce the size of the main article. Not counting the author's opinion, user Gabe19 - did not specify how, Jax 0677 support splitting, You and Krystaleen support trimming. This is not clear consensus. Also, big changes by Harout72 have been made after two days of discussion and between only four users. Too fast. Please give more time for discussion rather than 2 days and quickly change. Ray of Light

Although the consensus of Ray of Light claimed sales was supposedly done, don't you think the figures should be at least in the 18 million figure? @IndianBio, well I wish I could. But you see, I never promote any of Madonna articles into GA, let alone FA. I just get boring so soon everytime I do a certain article completely. List of awards and nominations received by Madonna was 95% done by me (except the lead section), but you know, I got a quite long break from editing and Legolas2186 finally finished it from my sandbox and went through FLC. I have one biography, by Lucy O'Brien and there is extensive information there. Plus there is a madonna website where old magazine scans and interviews from 1989 are present. @Petergriffin9901: Hello Nathan! I don't think so, it's pretty clear that "Almost Home" is her single as a 'lead artist'. It's non-album soundtrack single just like "This Used to Be My Playground". What I'm confused for now is whether "The Art of Letting Go" is a promo single. Hey :) So I don't argue that it was a single, but it's not from her albums or discography per se. It's a song she recorded for a film. As for Jermaine, he's on some serious crack trying to rewrite history lol. I could care less what he says, but the fact the "TAOLG" never had a video or proper release commissioned + its not even on the standard album, leads me to think it was just a promo single. No matter what he says though, YME should be as is. I see your point though, I don't mind "Almost Home" but I definitely think "TAOLG" should be in the promo chart. @Ryoga Godai: Hey Novice, how are you? I thought you retired from Wikipedia. I'm afraid that guy is not in the forum he used to be, so I don't think I could ask him anymore. However, I think User:Fugreena (native Japanese) would help you in this case. He/she has added a good amount of Japanese charts information in List of best-selling music artists, as well as several Madonna articles such as True Blue.
