The Westlands Solar Park is a planned group of small solar power plants producing up to a total of 2,700 megawatts (MW) using photovoltaics planned for Kings County, California. It will be constructed on brownfield land that is unusable for agriculture due to excess salt pollution.[1] Initial operation is expected in 2015. A 2 MW farm is expected to be online in September 2015, followed by a 20 MW. These would provide electricity to the city of Anaheim and Disneyland.[2] The real estate investment firm CIM Group joined the project in 2014.
