Bir al-Helou (Arabic: بئر الحلو) is a village in al-Hasakah Governorate, Syria. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bir al-Helou had a population of 3,718 in the 2004 census. It is the administrative center of a nahiyah ("subdistrict") consisting of 72 localities with a combined population of 38,833 in 2004.[1] The inhabitants of the village are predominantly Arabs.
