Seddun-Braijsa Byr Fruel Genar-Hofoen dam Ois, or Genar-Hofoen, is a fictional character. He is a citizen and ambassador of the Culture in the novel Excession. He represents The Culture to a race known as the Affront, seeming to be the first Culture ambassador to be able to appreciate their "barabaric" ways. During his adventure within Excession he travels the galaxy just to be reunited with his old lover and in the end joins the Affront now also in body.
