ATO zone (Cyrillic: Зона АТО) is a term widely used in media and government of Ukraine to identify territory where takes place the war in Donbass.^[1]

ATO is also used as a term for territories not controlled by the Government of Ukraine during the war in Donbass including selected parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (regions).^[2]
