Matthew Anthony William Gotrel MBE (born 1 March 1989) is a British rower. At the World Rowing Championships 2014 in Amsterdam he was a member of the gold medal winning eight and this was repeated in 2015 at Aiguebelette. He won a gold medal in the men's eight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[2] Gotrel is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.

Gotrel was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to rowing.[3]
