Taman Bacaan Pelangi

Nila initiated the first library of Taman Bacaan Pelangi in Roe Village, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia in 2009[11][12]. As of May 2017, she already builds 57 libraries across 15 islands in Eastern Indonesia, including islands in the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, Papua[4] and provides access to more than 105,300 children's books, and this number are still growing[10][13]. As part of her concept to make Taman Bacaan Pelangi more sustainable, she founded Travel Sparks[16][17]. Travel Sparks is a social enterprise focuses on travel that carries the spirit of "Travel With A Cause". In Travel Sparks, tourists can do voluntourism. In 2016, Nila published her first book called Lembar-Lembar Pelangi, a non-fiction book that tells her journey, exploring remote villages in Eastern Indonesia, building children's libraries in some of the country's most remote areas, and her challenges in answering the "call" and leaving her corporate career behind to focus on growing Taman Bacaan Pelangi and promoting literacy in the country [18][19].
