I would like to say thanks having done a good job filling in quite a sizable number of references. I have also a filled in a few, where I a spotted stuff based on the references you spotted. There is still some left, but that should hopefully be taken care of soon. [[User:Elalan|Elalan]] 15:48, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Lahiru k, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  --rogerd 17:15, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm afraid we have had to delete some of your articles. This is nothing personal against the people written about, or against you, but because of Wikipedia policy. We have to have rules for who gets an article here, and it has already been decided that a person who is killed in battle is not noteworthy just because of that. If this were not the case there would have to be literally millions of articles about such people.

You are welcome to add articles about soldiers who have shown extreme courage and been rewarded by (for example) very rare medals of honour, or who have held very senior posts. It is advisable to make these things clear in the article. DJ Clayworth 17:41, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware that we cannot accept contributions that have been copied from elsewhere on the web. Doing so is illegal. Please rewrite any articles in your own words. DJ Clayworth 17:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you might want to create a list of Sri Lankan Military Decorations here too. exolon 19:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well Done

Well Done Dearest Friend, Do keep up the excellent work on raising a voice against the LTTE true maniacs!!! Kaushini

You appear to have a disagreement with User:Wikipediatrix over Gamini Kularatne. You might have written the article originally, but by posting it here, you release it under the GFDL which allows anyone to edit it. Also, Wikipedia entries are supposed to be neutral and verifiable. Articles need to be written in a formal tone without words that express opinion. "amazing storylines", "to everyone's shock", "which wouldn't be surprising", etc. are all matters of opinion, not facts. Because articles need to be verifiable, you are supposed to provide reliable sources. Please check some of these links to get an idea how things are done around here, so you can continue editing without running into problems with others. Happy editing! - Mgm|(talk) 14:35, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Your response

I dont hide 64.201.162.1 is User:RaveenS, if you look at IP edits, the IP has edited User Raveens home page anyway. To your Vanadalism of the said page. If I report you to Admin, if you continue this negative attitude towards editing, any admin can see that Your edit compare it to what was there before original version can see that you had eliminated all credible sources and rewrote an article without a source simply to push an POV. Beware such a trail of mis deeds will only lead to being blocked. Thanks

Unable to Read

Hey Lahiru K, you had written something on my talk page which I think is in Sinhalese. Unfortunately, right now I'm in the U.S. and I can't get Sinhalese fonts to work on this computer so I can't read what you've written. Sorry about that. So maybe write it in english or you can click the @ sign next to my signature and email me if you want. Again real sorry about this. I seriously need to get sinhalese fonts to work. --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 16:11, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great Work

Hi Lahiru, I want to say that, what you have done through all the excellent writings of yours is simply superlative and exceptional!!!. The best thing is, they have had a considerably noticable impact on so many parties, haven't it? I've got to tell you this, that, your work is giving the impression that another S. Mahinda himi is on His way fighting for freedom. You are doing exactly the same thing He did, made different only by the "keyboard" instead of the "pen". Our Mother Land is proud of you!!!!! You have all our blessings. All the very Best!!! Kaushini 02:11 18 September 2006(UTC)

Yeah thanks, but you've done a whole lot more work on that and similar articles than I have. So really I have to tell you, Like Kaushini says, Great Work and keep it up.--snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 23:56, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

STF

In Relation to the Special Task Force article. Your recent attempts to improve the article have been somewhat detrimental. I see that you have questioned the sources stated, On the first instance, yes the site went inactive and thus the source invalid, however, you should of posted on the 'Talk Page' as I could of verified and rectified the situation

The second edit deleted the statement 'Tamil and Muslim ares' and had cited sources for both. Whilst the first source states 'LTTE controlled area' hence inherently Tamil area, but this can be mistaken and I will find a better impartial source time permitting, however my main concern with this second edit is that you deleted the 'muslim areas' aswell even though the source was perfectly clear and cited properly

Please be more careful in future edits of this page and use the talk page when apropriate to do so. Also thankyou for citing the reason for changing the article, otherwise I would of not been alerted to this issues.

Thankyou --Sharz 09:11, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sri Lankan Army

  • First, I would like to thank you for your contributions of many article related to Sri Lanka. As you may aware as a fellow Wikipedian, Wikipedia insists on NPOV, to maintain the quality of the articles and it to be a neutral Encyclopaedia, providing her readers with neutral articles that could be relied on. Deleting well cited section, Human Rights Allegations of the article Sri Lankan Army, may violate NPOV. You are welcome to do so, provided that there are reasons to do so, but please leave a not in the respective article's discussion. Again, thanking you for your hard work and contributions, and looking forward to see more contributions to Wikipedia from you. Bye. --Sechzehn16Talk 15:22, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear my friend, This what i want to say to you. Before Accusing me for blanking the Human Rights Allegations section you have to go through the history page of Sri Lankan Army article. See [1], someone came from 64.231.40.234 IP did that blanking job. Its a Canadian IP [2]. On that day I just did some corrections for two minor mistakes and one was done by 160.94.105.163. Believe me, I'm from Sri Lanka and I can even prove that if you want. My pal, I'm not blaming on you for this incidence. I know that you made a simple mistake. So I here by I'm asking from you to leave a message on talk page, about this incidence. Thank you, Lahiru_k 18:19, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for telling you things that you did not do and giving you unnecessary worries. As I confirmed the history of the article it could be verifed. I accept my mistake. I will write the message for the right IP user who did the deletion. Then, have a nice weekend. --Sechzehn16Talk 23:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
