On 2016 General Election she lost the seat again &,Congress Candidate Madhusudan ghosh won but after his death a By poll held on 29th Jan 2018 on that She didn't chosen as TMC Candidate due to her poor performance in 2016 General Election,on that seat [[All India Trinamool Congress]] Choses Sunil Singh who is present [[Chairman]] of [[Garulia]] And He is also stand on expectation of [[All India Trinamool Congress]].SUNIL SINGH won the By poll of 2018 from 63018 votes Margin and snached the seat from Congress and now Sunil Singh is present [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] of [[Noapara (Vidhan Sabha constituency)]],He is also make record with his total vote of 101729 till date on this constituency & He is Also present CHAIRMAN OF [[Garulia]], As he hold previously from [[2010]]. And from this Sunil Singh Chairman of [[Garulia]] also snached the position of [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] from Manju Basu after 2018 Bypoll Results.

Manju Basu is an All India Trinamool Congress politician and is a Former Member of Legislative Assembly from Noapara.

A graduate in humanities and education, she was a school teacher by profession.[1] She joined active politics in 2000 after her husband, Bikash Basu, also a school teacher and a Trinamool Congress activist, was killed in the run up to the election the following year.[2][3]

She was nominated a Trinamool Congress candidate from Noapara in 2001 and she won the election.[4] However, she lost in 2006[5] but won again in 2011.[6]

On 2016 General Election she lost the seat again &,Congress Candidate Madhusudan ghosh won but after his death a By poll held on 29th Jan 2018 on that She didn't chosen as TMC Candidate due to her poor performance in 2016 General Election,on that seat All India Trinamool Congress Choses Sunil Singh who is present Chairman of Garulia And He is also stand on expectation of All India Trinamool Congress.SUNIL SINGH won the By poll of 2018 from 63018 votes Margin and snached the seat from Congress and now Sunil Singh is present MLA of Noapara (Vidhan Sabha constituency),He is also make record with his total vote of 101729 till date on this constituency & He is Also present CHAIRMAN OF Garulia, As he hold previously from 2010.
