On January 29th, 2019 it was announced that Burke signed onto the [[Philadelphia Eagles]] coaching staff as a Top Defensive Assistant to [[Defensive coordinator]] [[Jim Schwartz]].

Matt Burke (born March 25, 1976) is an American football coach who is the Top Defensive Assistant to Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz of the Philadelphia Eagles. He was also the linebackers coach for the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals, and an assistant with the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. He played safety at Dartmouth and was part of an undefeated Ivy League championship team in 1996.[1]

Personal life

Burke was born in Hudson, Massachusetts. Burke spent the off-season in Africa in 2015 and 2016.[1] He climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, has gone on safari in Botswana[3] and has done charity work in Uganda.[1]
