Wormley Rovers Football Club is a football club based in Wormley, Hertfordshire. They are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division and play at Wormley Playing Fields.
History
The club was founded in 1921 and moved to Wormley Playing Fields in 1954. They joined the Hertfordshire Senior County League in 1976 and won Division Three in their first season. They were promoted to Division One in 1981 and the Premier Division in 1987. They were relegated two years later but returned to the Premier Division in 1992, and remained there for 26 years before successfully applying to join the new Division One South of the Eastern Counties Football League for the 2018–19 season.[1]

Fans
Wormley Rovers have a group of fans who attend most home games known as the 'Wormley Ultras'. The role of the 'Wormley Ultras' is to cheer on the team in the east stand of Wormley Playing Fields. The 'Wormley Ultras' most notable moment was when Wormley welcomed Hashtag United to their home. The game ended in a 0-1 defeat but the 'Wormley Ultras' were not downed but the loss and continued to sing and cheer on the football club. The 'Wormley Ultras' most notable chant is one directed towards Davy Edmee which is a chant about Tottenham Hotspur Full-back Danny Rose. The Chant is to suggest that Edmee has a similar appearance to Danny Rose. Another notable chant that the 'Wormley Ultras' sing is about directed towards Matthew Bailey which is to suggest that he has a similar appearance to Harry Potter star Ron Weasley.
