The Silent War (Spanish: Sordo) is a 2019 Spanish war film written and directed by Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas. The film, set during World War II, features Asier Etxeandia as a soldier in Spain who becomes deaf and has to survive a manhunt.[1] The film is an allusion to For Whom The Bell Tolls.

The film is based on the graphic novel Sordo by David Múñoz and Rayco Pulido.

Netflix released the film on its streaming service on February 3, 2020.[2]
