Aaichiyeh (Arabic: عيشية) is a village in southern Lebanon . It's 82 kilometers far from Beirut and on altitude of 750 meters ,and it is connected with the roads of Nabatieh-Jezzine and Marjayoun-Jezzine, located in the south of Jezzine district . Its population is about 4000 person and more than 130 house (as of 2008).
Etymology
The name "aïchiye" ( العيشية-aaychiya) goes back to the word "live", which is the symbol of comfortable living, and the life surrounded by the beauty of the picturesque nature, which is summarized by forests with "pine tide", which represents a green blanket that summarizes the splendor and beauty of Lebanon.

there are 2 churches in Aïchiye :Mar Antonios (مار انطونيوس) church , and the church of the Lady (السيدة العذراء) .They were built before the lebanese civil war (1975-1990)and both were renovated after this terrifying event. Aichiye is known for the common life and good relations between Muslims and Christians .
Agriculture and nature
Its soil is fertile, which makes its inhabitants dependent on raising livestock, bees, chickens, and growing olives and fruits such as grapes, peaches and apricots ... The spring of the village contributes to the irrigation of cultivated lands. In the past ,the villagers planted tobacco, an agriculture very present in lebanon. Aïchiye is known for its abondance in oak and pine trees
History
There are no exact clues that show the place of this village in history, but Phoenician vases have been found, which shows that Phoenicians settled there previously. Sadly ,during the civil war ,it witnessed deadly attacks ,like the Aïshiyeh massacre in october 1976 ,leaving a sad memory to the people .
