Official Language in Malaysia is Malay not Malaysian. Malayan Law (talk) 06:47, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Both names have been used for the standard, please see the language section. CMD (talk) 07:13, 19 November 2021 (UTC).[reply]
Follow the Malaysia Federal Constitution, not the netizen's standard. Kititto (talk) 02:27, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I from Malaysia, I know that both is use but "malaysian" is not official name, according to malaysia government official name is Malay & malaysian is not official name https://www.malaysia.gov.my/portal/content/30118, Malaysian is only using for some Malaysian citizen not official use for education at Malaysia. Malayan Law

According to Malaysian language: "The Malaysian language (Malay: bahasa Malaysia) [...] is the name regularly applied to the standardized form of Malay language used in Malaysia (as opposed to the variety used in Indonesia, which is referred to as the "Indonesian" language). "Malay language" is Malay language, never refer to any other language, no matter how it evolve throughout historical timeline. Kititto (talk) 02:30, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What I already say that only use for some nitizen, articles 152 is said "Malay" (Bahasa Melayu) is official language not "Malaysian" (Bahasa Malaysia). Please using official name. According of Malaysian language ISO639-3 code for zsm it say "Standard Malay" not "Malaysian". "Malaysian" only use for some of nitizen in Malaysia not official name. Malayan Law (talk) 05:16, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is one in the article, and a myriad available through a simple search. CMD (talk) 10:06, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Description of capital(s) of Malaysia

Should Kuala Lumpur also be described as the "constitutional" capital, in the infobox? According to the Constitution of Malaysia and according to the article describing Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur is the sole constitutionally-enshrined capital. (i.e. I'm suggesting that the text be something like "Kuala Lumpur (ceremonial, constitutional and legislative)). Aplaice (talk) 19:24, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It would be good to have a source with similar descriptions. None were added when these labels were applied, and I'm unconvinced Putrajaya should be placed higher in the infobox. CMD (talk) 07:21, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Population needs to be updated with the latest 2020 census stats

2020 census was released last month by Department of Statistics Malaysia, thought we might need to edit the population. Don't have the link to the census right now but it should be on DOSM's website through their E-Statistik portal (that you need to register; only Malaysian citizens can). Same needs to be done for other Malaysian city/town/district/place article too. Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu editors take note too. Fazley01 (talk) 08:05, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominal GDP & GDP per Capita

The Nominal GDP and GDP per Capita should be updated according to the latest projected data by IMF.
