Feedback Request: Big Data and Small Data - Yeongdeok-gun

Hello, professor, I'm Baek Ji-woo and Park Ji-min who are listening to the understanding of small data and big data. We are writing an article about Yeongdeok-gun. What more should we do? Can I submit it like this? https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Yeongdeok_County Baekjiwoo (talk) 07:05, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Baekjiwoo Very good, you are almost finished. Please add listings/coordinates for Jangsa Station and Gang-gu Station in the 'by train'. For festivals, would be good to add GPS coordinates for the main locations as well. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:35, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The modification has been completed. Please check it out! Thank you.https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Yeongdeok_County--Baekjiwoo (talk) 06:01, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious topics procedure adopted

You are receiving this message because you are subscribed to updates on the Arbitration Committee's discretionary sanctions review process.

The Arbitration Committee has concluded the 2021-22 review of the contentious topics system (formerly known as discretionary sanctions), and its final decision is viewable at the revision process page. As part of the review process, the Arbitration Committee has resolved by motion that:

The above proposals that are supported by an absolute majority of unrecused active arbitrators are hereby enacted. The drafting arbitrators (CaptainEek, L235, and Wugapodes) are directed to take the actions necessary to bring the proposals enacted by this motion into effect, including by amending the procedures at WP:AC/P and WP:AC/DS. The authority granted to the drafting arbitrators by this motion expires one month after enactment.

The Arbitration Committee thanks all those who have participated in the 2021-22 discretionary sanctions review process and all who have helped bring it to a successful conclusion. This motion concludes the 2021-22 discretionary sanctions review process.

This motion initiates a one-month implementation period for the updates to the contentious topics system. The Arbitration Committee will announce when the initial implementation of the Committee's decision has concluded and the amendments made by the drafting arbitrators in accordance with the Committee's decision take effect. Any editors interested in the implementation process are invited to assist at the implementation talk page, and editors interested in updates may subscribe to the update list.

Babylon 5 Resources I own

ISBN 9780753500491, ISBN 9780753502334, ISBN 0440223857, ISBN 9780292747227, ISBN 9781770412651, ISBN 9780819567383. The last one covers other stuff; the first five are exclusively about B5. The third one is a WB product, hence arguably non-independent. That doesn't mean I actually have time to upgrade the 15+ year old articles that have often been redirected, but yes, I have multiple, independent RS for anything you can find. If you want my help on an exemplary project, ask that Spoo (the stuff that's deleted from the history) be userified for improvement. Jclemens (talk) 07:06, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jclemens Spoo, huh? I think the history of that one is still here. The article appears well referenced at first glance, but on second look it's almost entirely PRIMARY, so I couldn't support restoring it without adding some better sources. And frankly, a lot of what's in might be argued to be WP:OR (since it's based on PRIMARY). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:08, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I don't know that it will ever be standalone-worthy, but I was just looking through Google News and there are a couple additional references there. It's a reasonable example of what I could do with what I have. I'll note that the AfD was held while I was inactive and no one notified me of it, despite me being a GA nominator. Frankly, a lot of Wikipedia folks have had a hate-on for that article since it's a former featured article and former FA of the day, hence I'd prefer to resurrect it first. Jclemens (talk) 08:24, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jclemens I'll be looking forward to that. Once you have a draft, feel free to ping me and I'll see what I can do. Btw, I just resurrected telescreen, which got redirected a while back after my own deletion suggestion - I just run into some good sources, and I think the article shows the notability of the concept now. Of course, all the good stuff had to be written anew by me (I kept most of the old stuff in but it's unreferenced OR that likely needs to be abridged). Spoo, I am afraid, will be the same... Hello, professor. The administrator of China seems to have passed my article. Some mistakes have been corrected. Here is the second article. Please check it. Thank you.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement_in_South_Korea#List_of_law_enforcement_organizations) DENG HUICHEN (talk) 09:03, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@등혜진 It's good you moved your additions to the main public article, but like I said before, a lot of your content is unreferenced. Your first task to fix your draft, which is still only about half-finished, is to add well formatted, reliable references. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:12, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, professor, for your advice. I have added some quotations. Some contents of this article can't be searched on reliable websites. I will edit them. Thank you. DENG HUICHEN (talk) 15:20, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, professor. I've finally written the article. Thank you! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:KIMMINJEOUNG, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jiminewiki/History_of_journalism --KIMMINJEOUNG (talk) 11:53, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@KIMMINJEOUNG Regarding your translation from English to Korean, it's a good progress, but there are still untranslated contents (Englsh terms) and there are parts missing references - please find and add references for the parts that don't have them. You also need to copy your article to KOREAN Wikipedia and fix various code problems that will occurr then. A translation should be carried out in the target language from day one, now I am afraid you'll have to spend some time fixing various code issues. After the article is copied to your sandbox on Korean Wikipedia and fixed, please let me know and I'll review it again.
Regarding your article about Korean microregions, it's an early draft with many issues to fix. First, you needlessly duplicate the definition of ecoregions - that's not needed, this is what the ecoregion article is for. So everything above the secton 'ecoregions in south korea' is, I am afraid, not relevant to your project. Your Korean section is on topic, which is good, but it's entirely unreferenced. You also need to add blue links and images. Please let me know when you have a second version ready for a review, one with references and blue links and images. Hello Professor,

Since I was not sure where we have to hand in our assignments, it seemed appropriate to hand in a list of finished pages:

@RonanHoogmoed Thanks, they all look good. Regarding your draft submussion, I'll publish it myself as there's no need to go through the community draft review. I encourage you to instead do the WP:DYK nomination for the article. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:40, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
