7Bravo is an Australian free-to-air digital television multichannel, which was launched by the Seven Network on 15 January 2023. [1][2] The channel contains programming from NBCUniversal's channels including E! and Bravo aimed primarily to a female audience, with a combination of reality shows, dating shows and variety shows.

History

On 25 October 2022, it was announced that Seven would be launching a new channel, 7Bravo, on January 15 2023, featuring content from NBCUniversal. [3] On November 30, 2022, the channel appeared on the Seven multiplex, however was an empty screen until December 14, 2022 except for Seven Regional areas which had a ishop TV moving to channel 67 placeholder. On December 14, 2022 a new placeholder appeared which said New Channel 7Bravo Coming January. [4] A new promo loop began on 14 January 2023, one day before the launch, as seen in the referenced YouTube video.[5]

The channel began airing as a separate channel on 15 January 2023. The first program was Million Dollar Listing New York which coincidentally made up of most of the channels first day on air with a 14-hour marathon. The program to air after the marathon was a repeat of the movie Girls Trip. [6]

Programmierung

The channel is targeting a demographic of 15 to 55-year-old females, after the success of the 7mate channel targetting the 15 to 55-year-old male demographic respectively. Programs aired on the channel are a mix of programs from NBCUniversal's channels including E! and Bravo, in which most programs would make their free-to-air debut and brand new shows to Australian television.

Some of the shows aired on the channel include Million Dollar Listing New York, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Judge Jerry, Below Deck, and Botched. Unlike multiple other channels, no shows were carried over from Seven, 7two, 7mate or 7flix.

Programs making their free-to-air debut include Dinner Date, Saturday Night Live, Top Chef Killer Couples and 911 Crisis Centre[7]
