Robersonville High School

Robersonville High School (RHS) is a former high school that was built in 1929 for the white 8-11 graders from Everetts, Parmele, Gold Point, and Robersonville, North Carolina. The campus consisted of a brick building with sixteen rooms including an auditorium and gymnasium, a suite of rooms set aside for home economics, a music room, principal's office, a library, and classrooms. The plant also included an agriculture building of two master rooms in a separate but nearby unit.

The school mascot was the Ram and the colors were navy blue and white. When East End,the high school for blacks, closed during integration, the colors became navy blue and gold. The mascot was changed to the Eagle. To be fair each year, two homecoming queens were elected: one white and one black. This tradition continued at Roanoke High School until the 1990s. The class of 1975 was the last to graduate from Robersonville High School. When Roanoke High School opened in 1976, the former high school became Robersonville Junior High School for grades 6 - 8. The name was later changed to Robersonville Middle School. It closed its doors for the final time in December 2000. During the Christmas break, teachers and workers were busy moving into the new Roanoke Middle School, which opened in January 2001. The building, currently being used for flea market activities, is eligible to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
