Welcome Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300!

Hello Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I'm Sm8900, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Dos and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't commit vandalism
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or you can:
  Get help at the Teahouse
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost
Translate articles from Wikipedias in other languages

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Sincerely, Sm8900 (talk) 01:49, 12 April 2022 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)[reply]

"Is google down?"

I am using a windows computer that's built/functions like a chromebook, for future reference. The easter egg works on my shore when the quotation marks are dribbled onto the phrase, but it only sometimes works on my shore without them. Does the easter egg not splash onto your screen when you do it? Do-Droppy (talk) 18:52, 8 November 2022 (UTC)'[reply]

Edit on Folketing's article

Hello, I'm not trying to experiment; I thought using "folk", a native Germanic cognate word, would compliment the use of "thing" in the first English literal translation of "folketing" (which is the equivalent of a compound of "folk" and "thing" in English). As you can see, I left "people" alone in second translation, which is more idiomatic than the first. While not completely necessary, I do believe my edit was justified. 2603:3015:D01:8000:6842:D65D:5E25:7F54 (talk) 23:01, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

Hi Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2023-04-04. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:52, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Arya Samaj

Hi. You made a good faith revert. which i reverted. The reference I removed was SPS and unreliable. 49.36.178.109 (talk) 14:50, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Apalachicola Bay

Hi, regarding my recent edit to the Apalachicola Bay article, I believe that the edits were constructive, as the inclusion of redundant URLs when citing journal articles with DOI identifiers is not best practice. 108.246.59.26 (talk) 19:01, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please read up on what is and isn't vandalism before making further edits. Thanks. 81.147.164.231 (talk) 00:35, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Try reading the opening paragraphs of the version you keep restoring. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.147.164.231 (talk) 00:42, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dred Scott OR text removed

With all due respect, this unsourced, racist and anachronistic sentence ([1]) is clearly OR, which was inserted by a vandal, unnoticed by the antivandals. 107.127.46.50 (talk) 00:46, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-LGBT curriculum laws in the United States edit removal

Hello Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300. I specifically intended for other users to add citations and more information as I said in the edit description. If you would like to do more research and add a citation, you can. (I did not know how to add "citation needed".) 209.237.105.194 (talk) 18:58, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
