One trillionth is either of two fractions, depending on the region of earth:

American

In the United States and Canada, a trillionth is equal to 0.000 000 000 001, or 1 x 10-12 in scientific notation. It is the reciprocal of a trillion. The prefix for a number of this quantity is pico- (pronounced "peeko"), and is expressed in terms of lowercase p.

European

In most European countries, a trillionth is equal to 0.000 000 000 000 000 001, or 1 x 10-18 in scientific notation.
