Jeffrey Loria was the owner of the Montreal Expos baseball team in the 1990's. He sold the team and ran off with the money to Florida, where he won a World Series title. Loria promised to return the Expos to glory after the strike in 1994, in which the Expos lost most of their players, including Larry Walker and Pedro Martinez. Loria did not do as he promised, and will forever be remembered as a sleazebag by Montrealers.
