Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky is a Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University in New York. He was appointed Rosh Yeshiva in Spring of 2002 and began teaching Talmud at Yeshiva University and its affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary in Fall of 2002. In only a short time as Rosh Yeshiva he has become one of the most popular maggidei shiur (talmudic lecturers) as well as a reknowned authority in halacha (Jewish law.) Rabbi Sobolofsky also serves as the Spiritual leader of Congregation Ohr HaTorah in Bergenfield, NJ. His shul has become popular for those young families who continue to flock to Bergenfield's already established and growing Orthodox Jewish Community. Rabbi Sobolofsky is also a leading magid shiur of the Bergen County Beis Medrash Program (BCBM) housed at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck, NJ.
