In encyclopaedias, people are normally referred to by their last name. Is there a reason to treat Frances l'Anson differently? Surtsicna (talk) 15:27, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the main reason I reverted you was that the name was wrong: it's I'Anson not Anson. In an earlier version I mentioned her father in the first sentence and it was to distinguish her from him - I'd forgotten that I removed that when I reverted you. However, looking at it again, in this context the surname does seem inappropriate. It's effectively a discussion of a character in a song rather than real person in a bio piece (although literally it is a bio piece) and I think the context lends itself more to "Frances".
