Farhan Ahmed (born 22 February 2008) is an English cricketer who plays for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and the England national under-19 cricket team. He is a right handed batsman and right arm off break bowler.[1]
Career
An off-spinner,[2] Ahmed played club cricket alongside his brothers Raheem and Rehan for Cavaliers and Carrington CC. All bowlers, all one occasion they took all ten wickets in an innings between them.[3] He made his county second-team debut for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club against Lancashire in May 2022, three months after turning 14 years-old.[4] He became established in Nottinghamshire's second XI during the 2023 season.[5]
International career
He made his debut for the England national under-19 cricket team as a 15 year-old in the summer of 2023.[6] He was subsequently selected for the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[7][8]
Personal life
His father Naeem Ahmed, a former cricketer, was born in Mirpur in Kashmir, where he played as a fast-bowling all-rounder, before moving to England with his wife Musrat Hussain, in 2001.[9][10] He is the younger brother of England international cricketer Rehan Ahmed.[11]

His father, Naeem, played good level cricket in Pakistan as a fast-bowling all-rounder before moving to England and Ahmed initially tried to emulate his Dad by bowling seam.
