Message about edit reversion.
I am moving your message here so that topics in my talk page aren't mixed up, since you replied to my prior conversation with another user:
Hi - you just deleted my edit on Hovertravel, where I added the Estonian hovercraft service. Why? 193.40.12.10 (talk) 16:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC) Arcendeight (talk) 16:22, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there! I hope you don't mind my moving your comment here. To answer your question, I was probably a bit hasty and should have taken the time to re-do it for you. The primary issue with your edit was your inclusion of the link to a rival company in the text. I'll go ahead and add your content back while including your source as a citation (which you can do by clicking the quotation mark icon, since I see you're using the visual editor), so you can see what I mean. We don't generally include links like that in articles because it clutters the page, makes it unreadable, and is not encyclopedic in style. All the best Arcendeight (talk) 16:26, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ah thanks - yes, I was just about to re-edit the link to be a citation when you vanished it... I could see I'd not done it properly. Cheers (from someone who lives in Estonia and will actually take this hovercraft trip on 20 January because I want to show my teen daughter what this mode of transport does!) 193.40.12.10 (talk) 16:32, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Oh my! I'm sorry for jumping the gun before you had the chance, in that case! And thank you for following up :) Hovercraft are super cool! I hope your daughter enjoyed the ride; I've always wanted to ride one myself. Warmly Arcendeight (talk) 16:34, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
