Place name

[edit]

There is no Kraukle river in Latvia. Probably name of the place has derived from Ašķere- the small river that flows into Daugava near the ancient Aizkraukle hillfort (German name of Aizkraukle is Ascheraden, Latin: Ascrad). Dukurs (talk) 12:47, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See, this would make a great addition, once you put it into the article and add a source to support it. If it's a reliable source, then of course having it would be better than Pospelov's cursory mention!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); October 8, 2015; 13:00 (UTC)
