Huanyu Entertaintment (full name: Dongyang Huanyu Entertaintment Co., Ltd.) is Chinese entertainment company that established in 2012.[1] Its founders are Yu Zheng, a well-known screenwriter and producer in mainland China, and Mainland China's famous film and television producer Yang Le.[2] It is headquartered in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The predecessor is Yu Zheng Studio[3] established in Shanghai in 2011, and the studio is affiliated with the company.[2]
History
Huanyu Entertainment was founded in 2012 as an integrated cultural company. It specializes in script research and development, film and television investment and production, domestic and overseas distribution, business development, artist brokerage, and publicity. The company is dedicated to promoting China's rich traditional culture.[1]
With a talented team of professional screenwriters, directors, actors, and senior producers, Huanyu Entertainment adheres to the philosophy of "content is king." It has successfully produced acclaimed works such as the "Palace" series, "Beauty" series, "Legend of Lu Zhen," "Story of Yanxi Palace," "Winter Begonia," "Song of Youth," "Royal Feast," "Legacy," "Hi Producer," and "Scent of Time." Over 60 dramas created by the company have been released and broadcast worldwide.[1]
Huanyu Entertainment draws inspiration from China's exceptional traditional culture, following the path of excellence in its creations. Yu Zheng is a prominent screenwriter and producer in Mainland China. He is renowned for his creation, production, and direction of TV series such as the "Palace" series, "Beauty" series, "Swordsman," "Legend of Lu Zhen," "Story of Yanxi Palace," "Winter Begonia," "Court Lady," "Song of Youth," "Royal Feast," "Legacy," "Hi Producer," "Scent of Time," and numerous other film and TV works that consistently lead in ratings and on-demand networks.[10]
In 2011, he received the Best Screenwriter Award at the 16th Asian Television Awards for his work on the "Palace" series. In 2014, [11] he was honored with the Best Screenwriter Award for Chinese TV Drama at the China-US Film Festival for "The Smiling Proud Wanderer." Additionally, he was awarded the Gold Medal Producer Award for "The Belt and Road" Broadcasting, Film, and Television in 2018, and in 2019, he received the Best Producer Award at the 28th Peony Awards for his contribution to "Story of Yanxi Palace.”
Yang Le
Yang Le is the co-founder and general manager of Huanyu Entertainment, widely recognized as a prominent film and television producer. With a career in the industry since 2005, she has amassed professional accomplishments in film and television drama investment, production, distribution, international promotion, and business development.(13) Yang Le has produced and distributed numerous blockbuster dramas including "Palace," "Schemes of A Beauty," "Swordsman," "The Romance of the Condor Heroes," "Untouchable Lovers," "Story of Yanxi Palace," "The Legend of Haolan," "Winter Begonia," "Court Lady," "Song of Youth," "Royal Feast," "Legacy," "Hi Producer," "Gone with the Rain," "Scent of Time," among others.[12]
In addition to her contributions to the entertainment industry, Yang Le holds various esteemed positions and titles.
