Suicide Squad Isekai (Japanese: 異世界スーサイド・スクワッド, Hepburn: Isekai Sūsaido Sukuwaddo) is an anime television series based on the Suicide Squad from DC Comics. It was produced by Wit Studio, presented by Warner Bros. Japan, and directed by Eri Osada, with the series composition and the screenplay by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, character design by Naoto Hosoda based on drafts by manga artist Akira Amano, and music by Kenichiro Suehiro.[6][7][8][9]

The series premiered with an initial three-episode launch in the United States on Max and Hulu on June 27, 2024, with several international regions also streaming on various other services the same day.[10] It will begin broadcasting in Japan on July 6, 2024, on Tokyo MX and BS11.[11]

Synopsis

The Suicide Squad end up in another world of magic and monsters. Unless they get back, their nano bombs will detonate within 72 hours.[12]

The opening theme song is "Another World" composed by Tomoyasu Hotei,[13] while the ending theme song is "Go-Getters" performed by Mori Calliope.[16]

Marketing

To promote the anime, an "Isekai Great Villain Violent Party" was held at AnimeJapan on March 23, 2024.[17]

On June 6, 2024, a 30-second PV trailer was released online.[18]
