"John Dewhirst's confession and death was first revealed during 1979 by ABC News (U.S.A.) in its nightly, national, evening news program. ABC News producer Edward Rasen, subsequently provided more details in a January 1980 story in NOW! magazine of London, England, which subsequently was reprinted in NOW!
