Jacob Timothy Strain (born March 10, 1996) better known by his stage name Jake Strain is an American rapper[1]. He is the head of independent record label, Swaggertown Records.[2]

Career

Jake Strain[3] signed himself and launched his own independent record label Swaggertown Records in 2015 in Upstate New York.[4][5] Jake's first couple of singles were released in 2015-2016, which were mostly remixes and singles. Some of them are "Low For The Hunnids", "VIP", "Come To Your Block", and "Lounge" [6][7]

Jake's first breakout single to gain national attention was a track in late 2016, "A Bizarre Cypher" featuring D12. It has surpassed three million streams on Spotify.[8] Jake followed up in 2020 by releasing a collaboration with Afroman 420 which has surpassed two million views on YouTube. Jake released a few songs off his debut album Cloud 9, including "09", and "People Things & Places".[9][10]

In 2021, he released five singles; "Nasty" ft Maino,[11][12] "FlameThrower" with Jarren Benton, MC Bravado, "Upstate Greats" with Jadakiss & Vado, "Take The Product" with Cassidy, and "Hip-Notized" with Dizzy Wright.[13][14]
