Man and Man Enterprise is a manufacturing company based in Kumasi, Ghana that specializes in the production of biomass cookstoves. The company focuses on sustainable cooking solutions to mitigate deforestation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

History

Man and Man Enterprise was founded in 2007 by Michael Yaw Agyei. The company aims to address the environmental and health issues associated with traditional cooking methods in Ghana.[1] Man and Man has participated in the UNFCCC's improved cookstove program, which aims to promote clean cooking solutions in poor communities. It has also partnered with Aera Group for its carbon credit programs.[2]

In 2022, Man and Man Enterprise received the SEED Low Carbon Award for its innovative and sustainable approach to cookstove manufacturing.[3]

Produkte

According to the UNFCCC, over 200,000 of these cookstoves have contributed to reducing deforestation and carbon emissions, with their carbon programs yielding over 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions reduction annually.[4] They reduce charcoal consumption by approximately 50%.[4]
