Dr. Joan Palmiter Bajorek is the founder and CEO of Women in Voice, an internationally recognized non profit organization that promotes diversity in the voice technology industry for women. She is known as an expert in voice technology, specializing in speech recognition and natural language processing, with research focused on bias and inclusivity in AI systems.

She is a prominent speaker at global events and has received various awards for her contributions to voice tech and diversity and also an Amazon Alexa Champion. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Speech Technology, highlighting her academic contributions to voice technology, AI and education. 

Dr. Bajorek has published numerous papers on bias in tech, gender equity, and AI ethics.  Her work is featured in publications including Harvard Business Review, Adobe XD, Cambridge University Press, UXmatters, and FLTMAG.

She has raised over $500k with 20+ chapters in different cuntries in a short span of time for the non profit organization.

Google Assistant was the first corporate sponsor for the non-profit organization.

She recently authored and published a book with Wiley publications on voice tech.
