There are multiple disambiguation notice templates, and redirects to them. ie. {{letter–number combination disambiguation}} / {{numberdis}} / {{geodis}} / {{Dab}} / {{disambig}} / ... shown at Category:Disambiguation message boxes -- 64.229.88.34 (talk) 07:41, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not necessarily sure which path to take for this one, and I more find myself trying to figure out what amount of false positives results from this. Description: I was attempting to fix several links when a user broke the links again several times. They gave me a warning for vandalism, even though I had not been vandalizing any pages, so I deleted the warning as incorrect. When I tried to fix the links again, they continued to give me a warning for vandalism, which I believe was in error.

After fixing the links several times, I saw the following message: "Slow down! An automated filter has identified this edit as possibly disruptive, so it has been throttled. This will allow other users, including administrators, time to review your changes. You may still edit talk pages and project pages during this time.

Description: There was some data there that was nothing but the letters "HI" followed by a long stream of digits and nothing but digits. There was no "subject" title for that data, and it was not signed, even in the automatic way of signing things. I thought it was a prank and I deleted it. Then I got a warning that said I should come here and type exactly what I am typing now. Fortunately (if that string of digits is important), I went back to the page to make sure I copied its title accurately, and my edit in erasing that long string of digits (possibly randomly generated, but possibly of some significance) didn't stick, as I saw from the fact that it's still there. But if it WAS vandalism (how could it not be? It's meaningless digits after the all-uppercase word "hi") please delete it again. At the time I made the erasure, my request to beef up disambiguation for the various Durham titles-of-peerage was the only REAL entry on that talk-page. I'm Christopher Lawrence Simpson and I'm omitting my four-tilde signature from this typing as indicated by the instructions below.
