Norm Pope (10 September 1931 – 2 March 2003) was an Australian rugby league player.
A Balmain junior, Pope was a prolific goal-kicking fullback and spent his playing career with Brisbane club Valleys from 1950 to 1964, aside from one season in Rockhampton.[1] He represented Australia in the 3rd Test win over New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 1956, kicking five goals. In the 1957 season, Pope amassed a league record 330-points for Valleys.[2] He served as coach of both Valleys and Wests.[3]
Pope is fullback in the Brisbane Rugby League Team of the Century, named by the BRL and QRL history committee in 2022 to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the competition.[4]
