TransLink San Francisco is a smart-card fare system being implemented in the San Francisco Bay Area. The fare system was introduced in 1999 by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC).

Transit agencies using TransLink include:

  • MUNI Metro
  • BART
  • CalTrain
  • VTA

Transit agencies that will be using TransLink:

  • Golden Gate Transit - 2005
  • AC Transit - 2005
