Thanks Good delete, I had started trying to cleaning it up & found it was deleted when I went to save it --Nate1481(talk/contribs) 15:11, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ground Level Deletion Question Hi NawlinWiki,

I was trying to start an article for one of the products that that has not only helped my 1 year old but to many kids and adults in India in fighting mosquito problems. Would you please clarify what I did wrong, as I was just getting into the process and was not by any means finished?

The product has been clinically tested and proven by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. More over it is not only one of the top selling insect repellent in India but is also being sold by Mothercare(UK), Boots etc.

Thank you for your feedback.

Could you please restore Talk:The Gospel Harmony Boys as well, as you restored the original article? See deletion log and deletion log. Thank you. Errabee 12:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mick Jackson

The entry for Mick Jackson merges two people! The author of The Underground Man is a different individual, who has written several other books. He also a filmaker under the name Kirkham Jackson (see IMDB).

Kayla Rolland

Considering the current state of BLP, I think this is actually a candidate for speedy deletion in the interest of the subject. If this isn't speedyable, then could you either help me nominate it on AfD or show me how it's done? I've never put an article up for AfD before, though I have done a number of {{db}}'s. --Ssbohio 16:34, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, the AfD is open and working. Thanks for your help! --Ssbohio 19:57, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helmet Fonnington

Heading provided by Ssbohio

You blocked my page about Helmet Fonnington. Do you really think there is someone called Helmet? He is known as Helmet Fonnington because of his helmet. people need to know about him and information needs to be given. I only know what he told me as he tied us up in my house in garstang and proceeded to rape my wife and son. This is an insult to me and all the familys that have suffered from this man. I think an apology is in order. if you still do not believe me contact garstang police station on 00441524542697

Would you go ahead and close this since you g8'd the page? It would be appreciated. -N 19:41, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As you will have seen, I originally deleted it on WP:MUSIC criteria. The author pointed out, in a perfectly friendly message, that the drummer of this band was formerly a member of another band whose notability is not contested. That just about qualifies them, does it not? Or should I go and re-read the policy?--Anthony.bradbury 20:18, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically, criterion number 6, first paragraph. Sorry.--Anthony.bradbury 20:23, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would not argue even slightly with this. The band is, as you say, clearly non-notable, and my restoration of the article was on the basis of a (valid) technicality which I had originally overlooked.--Anthony.bradbury 20:40, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense articles

Hey, thanks for cleaning up the mess User:StealBoy left behind, the bogus articles you cleared up today. Far better to get them out of the way now than have them hang around for an AFD. Cheers! Tony Fox (arf!) 22:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

100 New York Mysteries

I see that you speedied this. No argument from me. However, you might also wish to keep an eye on the article on Aaron Krach, the book's photographer. -- Hoary 10:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How would I remove the speedy deletion box from an article I wrote. Someone else wrote some inappropriate things which I caught quickly and is now remedied. However, the speedy deletion box is still on the article. I am a new user to wikipedia and do not quite understand protocol. The article is "Adam Goldsmith". Thanks in advance...

The problem with adding non-English names for birds is that once you have one there is no reason not to add the French, Spanish, Tagalog, Korean, a dozen Indian languages... I don't have any great problem with local names for species which are endemic to Hawaii (or Maori names for NZ endemics), but if you look at the what links here for this widespread long distance migrant you could end up with a list of up to a hundred names. Hope this helps, Jimfbleak 15:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

that makes sense too - nice to make contact, I've often seen you on the delete and block logs, keep up the good work. Jimfbleak 18:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dang, you're fast...I was about to drop the blocked notice on his user page and found you beat me to it! AKRadeckiSpeaketh 20:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was contemplating indef as well (and wouldn't object to that even now), and the only thing that stayed my hand was that he asked me how to send copyright permissions to the Foundation, so I saw a glimmer of a chance that he might want to start doing things right. Tara holmes / Esquier farm hey how come you are deleting two of my pages? they both are pages that ought to be included in wikipedia but i just do not know how to put citations in them, maybe you could help me out and tel me how? im a little new at this, i dont really know how to do much, it took me an hour just to find your talk page. id apprecate some help so i can validate my articles, thanks.

Robert W. A.

Yes but Ms. Holmes is quite notable as while as the farm. Ms. Holmes is one of the rising stars in her field and Internet searches will show that she has many first place awards in dance. Including here is much like including Lebron James when he was in high school, young, rising and quite important to her field already, not to include her would be a travesty.

Also could you help explain to me how to include citations in my articles?

Thank you.

Robert W. A.

Well actually both are both notable, both topics (jazz dance and organic farming) I am quite knowledgeable in. how can I show that they are notable?

well forgive me for saying it like is it, but ask any teacher or student at BU, i told no lie. my appolgies for your suspissions but i found that his name should be included because he is the professor most commonly acused of deflaighting grades

Stoplight

This article was deleted, but I was never really given a chance to prove his notability. The reason given for deletion was "Patent Nonsense". Despite the seemingly nonsensical nature of the article, I refer you to examples of Wikipedia articles describing professional wrestlers. It presents the material as fact, relying on the reader to understand that the achievements are not necessarily describing real life. (eg: After Jake Roberts lost a match... to Randy Savage,[9] Roberts planned on attacking Savage and his wife... with a steel chair). To someone unfamiliar with the world of professional wrestling, this would sound like patent nonsense. However, because the audience is assumed to understand that the world of professional wrestling is often farcical and not meant to be representative of reality, we know that this isn't the case.

The same applies with Stoplight. The world of streetball is similar to the world of professional wrestling. Much of it is theatrical bravado planned out in advance, with feuds being publicized and dealt with in equally dramatic fashions. The biographical details of Stoplight are entirely accurate. Please reconsider your deletion of the article.

Radfar Ratio

The Radfar Ratio is nothing to do with at person, it is specifically looking at a mathematical technique in modern microeconomics that is used to measure the propensity to exit. Your reasons for deleting this page mean that 1000s of Wikipedia articles relating to mathematical techniques should be deleted, like the Laspeyres Index. Why haven't you deleted the Sharpe Ratio wikipedia page? The white test for heteroscedasticity? Why is multicollineratiy seen as a statistical phenomen that is acceptable?

Can't be arsed re-typing it out. 3 Industrial Organisation texts in the microeconomic library here cite the ratio as a widely spreading ratio and was part of the recent publication by Tom Lynn examining market failures in Taiwan.

Deleted BlueCollar page

Ok....if you're going to delete the page I posted....can you at least have the decency of being specific about why you did it. And don't link me to some help section. I read that stuff, and I fear that if I post the page again...it will still be deleted. You seemed to be suggesting that the page was "blatant advertising." LOL, why??? Because there were pictures of the band and a link to their myspace page??? Lol, come on. What do you want from me?

Also, how can anyone not think it's ridiculous for the procedure in this situation to be....DELETE the page. Not....give the person a chance to edit it.....but, DELETE it. I think I'm "saving" the work I'm doing, yet it can just be deleted at the drop of a hat because it doesn't fit the guide lines well enough. That's fine and all...but how about a chance to EDIT it. Lol, ridiculous.

Explination

Why did you delete my page? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Important_employees_of_google&action=edit

Thanks for the insult to my intelligence: "Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Important employees of google. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do." It wasn't a test.

Not "Neutral point of view"? How so? Google has many important and influential employees and it should be listed. They have a major political figure on the Board of Governors and have two major "Father's" of the Internet as Employees. How is this article not important?

The "Welcome" page you referred me to even states "How can I help? Don't be afraid to edit — anyone can edit almost any page, and we encourage you to be bold! Find something that can be improved, whether content, grammar or formatting, and make it better." Where did I go wrong?

Please advise. Altonbr 19:03, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here Nawlin, since I apparently can't post these on the page....I'll post them for you, since you seem to be the ruler of whether this band is notable or not.

NawlinWiki, would you mind pasting the former contents of the above page (that you deleted) into my userspace? I'm trying to investigate a conflict of interest problem - Pearbo (talk · contribs), who created that article, is also adding peacock language to the Shane Osborn article, and Mr. Pirsch is Mr. Osborn's legal counsel, according to this. I'm also seeing anon edits from an office in the Nebraska state government. RJASE1 Talk 19:45, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
