Westminster High School is located in Westminster, California and belongs to the Huntington Beach Union High School District. This school is known for hosting many city and district events. The school is known as a "community school." Westminster High School currently serves students from Johnson and Warner Middle schools and Stacey Intermediate School. Westminster is widely known for its academic rigor in its Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Students from these programs usually end up attending top-tier universities. Recently, over the past few years, Westminster High is known for its Academic Decathlon program. Called OCAD, for Orange County Academic Decathlon, Westminster has been ranking in the top 10 for Division I over a decade. For the year 06-07, Westminster High won first place in Division I enabling their entry to the California Academic Decathlon Competition at UCLA.
