The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Austria. It was canonically erected as the Diocese of Vienna on 18 January 1469 and elevated to the dignity of an archdiocese on 1 June 1722. Governed from its motherchurch in Vienna, Austria, it is led by the Archbishop of Vienna.
