The Falls of Lora is a tidal race which forms when a particularly high tide runs out from Loch Etive and hits the stanchions of the bridge on the main A828 road north from Oban. A large wave train forms on the river right which builds as the tides change.


  there are a lot of "big"white water in scotland like "randalphs leap and the triple falls near craigenlarich.  i am a 14 year old and have been kayaking for 4 years and in the river for 1 year so wot i know  is not a lot  so get some one who knos more than me.!!!!
