BloodMonkey is a Sci Fi Channel original film that premiered on January 27, 2008. The film was directed by Robert Young and is about a group of students led by a professor, (F. Murray Abraham), who are attacked by bloodthirsty primates in the jungle.[1]

Plot

BloodMonkey tells the story of six American graduate students studying apes in the African jungle who find a new kind of killer chimpanzees that could prove to be the most alarming hazard ever known to humanity. Upon first spotting this peculiar new strain, Greg, Dani, Amy, Josh, Sydney, and Seth were all guaranteed by their highly-esteemed professor (F. Murray Abraham) that they have all been part of a discovery that could change the very face of science. Survival instinct soon takes over, however, a usual study in animal behavior becomes a brutal struggle to escape a persistent marauder with consummate vigor and swiftness. As the tranquility of the wilderness is suddenly crushed by the horrific shrieks of man, Mother Nature proves just how little we truly comprehend about the savagery of the jungle.[2]
