That strange article is on your watchlist because one of the page in your watchlist was moved to that place by a vandal. If an article on your watchlist is moved, both the old and the new located are in your watchlist. So nothing strange, you can simply delete that watchlist entry. andy 16:07, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Suspicion of Puppetry

I thought you should know that you've been reported as "under suspicion" for puppetry because you supported one or more of my articles.

User_talk:Sjc#Radman1.27s_coterie

I thought you might get a good chuckle out of that. Good ol' RickK. Radman1 04:02, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)

typos & disambiguity

I've fixed some typos on the Child Victim and Madster pages. You should really learn how to spell. :-P I also removed the ambiguities of "Albany" and "RPI" from the Madster page. MrItty

Liquid

Yeah, i've noticed WP really looking like crap when the first box is wide & close to the top, & i haven't widened the browser window far enuf. So you're confirming my expert's acct. --Jerzy(t) 00:18, 2004 Nov 4 (UTC)

Peter Lynch

Thanks for getting the ball rolling with a solid article. I only added a few minor things to it. --Polynova 18:24, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Did you know has been updated

And one of the articles you've recently created is part of the line-up. Enjoy! - Mgm|(talk) 08:16, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)

Again 2 of your articles made it into the section. I didn't even know they were yours until I looked up the creator name to send this message. Congratulations and keep up the good work! Mgm|(talk) 08:37, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)

Whose Your Daddy

I feel the need to point out that while Whose Your Daddy doesn't exist, Who's your daddy? does. MrItty 16:01, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

"Whose your daddy" is grammatically incorrect. (Who's = Who is, Whose = to whom does something belong you know) I can't think of a phrase of that construction that actually exists.--Rethcir 16:32, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

I hate both of you. - Lifefeed 17:40, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

Wiki etiquette protest

Your delinking of WAAF on the Christine Brooke-Rose page strikes me as lacking in a couple of respects. Firstly it is a standard abbreviation; so WAAF is going to have to become a disambiguation page. Secondly, you made it a minor edit; it is not, properly speaking, since it destroys information deliberately put there. At the very least in such a case you should note on the talk page what you were doing, and why.

Charles Matthews 22:29, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Until WAAF is a disambig page, anyone clicking on the link thinking that it'll help them understand what she was doing as a WAAF will only be more confused, and will not gain any more information into her life. Removing it decreased the confusion. Also, I noted exactly what I was doing in the edit summary. Additionally, I have a pony.
- Lifefeed 14:17, Nov 18, 2004 (UTC)

Well, I'm not happy. Until - not your responsibility, then? Charles Matthews 20:24, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I created a stub for you to play with at Women's Auxiliary Air Force. I know nothing about them beyond my first google hit, so I won't be expanding it any more. Please consider being more proactive about these things in the future? If you wrote the Christine Brooke-Rose page then you probably know more than I do about the Women's Auxiliary Air Force.
- Lifefeed 18:13, Nov 19, 2004 (UTC)

Please consider checking my edits before coming on with proactive. Charles Matthews 19:01, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

You're prolific. Proactive would've been reverting my change and making a disambig page instead of telling me about your happiness level. If I were proactive I would've made the new page immediately instead of responding.
- Lifefeed 20:21, Nov 19, 2004 (UTC)

Like your additions to City (book by Clifford D. Simak). I just put a lazy stub in after reading the book. I especially like the historical placement; you've enriched my understanding of the original book.

MacGyverMagic for adminship

I've decided to take the plunge and self-nominate for adminship to make the work I do a lot easier. Please head over to Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship#MacGyverMagic and let your voice be heard. There's no hard feelings if you oppose, just make sure you let me know how I can improve. -- Mgm|(talk) 10:31, Nov 24, 2004 (UTC)

You have labelled the images on Harlequin Valentine as public domain, this seems highly unlikely given the source. Could you please clarify the situation. ed g2stalk 03:37, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)

One is a cover, which I believed is always available to be used for a review or criticism of a book (at least that's what years of reading newspapers and magazines have taught me). The other image is a part of a single panel, which I though was covered in the same way that quoting small sections of a book is covered under fair use. Public domain might not be the right tag for it. - Lifefeed 04:29, Nov 26, 2004 (UTC)
Yeah, after researching it a bit more, both of these fall under fair use, and definitely not public domain, I changed the tag on the cover. - Lifefeed 04:42, Nov 26, 2004 (UTC)

You made the same mistake for Image:Joe's comics.jpg; I corrected the tag. —Steven G. Johnson 05:21, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)
In fact, you mislabelled almost every image that you uploaded. Please realize that you cannot assume that an image is public domain just because you find it on the Web. Images are copyrighted by default. Logos and bookcovers you can tag under logo and bookcover. Some of your other images, such as Image:Burkhard heim.jpg and Image:Taus4.jpg, will probably have to be deleted. Please use appropriate tags in the future, and do not assume that an image is free or PD unless there is an explicit reason for it (i.e. unless it is on a US govt. site, you need to find an explicit license statement by the copyright holder). —Steven G. Johnson 05:45, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)

I think all of my images problems are solved now. - Lifefeed 15:27, Dec 15, 2004 (UTC)

EMS

Hi! I've changed your EMS entry on DYK somewhat to give what I thought would be a more interesting fact. It's now up, hope you agree! Mgm|(talk) 09:31, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Scott McCloud / Webcomic

Pretentious sounds like POV. What sources classify him as pretentious? If there are no sources, what definition of pretentious are you using, and where specificly can it be found that he is exhibiting behavior or opinons that reflect this definition? Is pretention something he is well known for? If so, once again what sources say this is something he is well known for?

I personaly think he is is revolutionary & forward thinking, but I don't describe him as that on Wikipedia because I understand this is just my POV and I don't have sources or evidence to back it up. ZaQ 06:21, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Fair use

"Welcome to Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopaedia! ... Here's a load of stuff that isn't free!". Fair use shouldn't be on Wikipedia at all, it sets a bad example to new users that fair use is ok. ed g2stalk 15:15, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

First Night

Thanx for creating the First Night article. I added the little bit about it in the New Year's Eve article, and First Night was on my all-too-long list of things I want to add to the Wikipedia, so I never got around to it. There's a first night in Fullerton in Orange County, California, but I don't think that it's notable enough to add to the article. You should nominate the article for Did You Know? BlankVerse 19:29, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi! Can you move Image:Melek taus.jpg to Commons? Thus it could be used in other Wikipedias as well without having it multiple in the database. Thanks, Fragwürdig 21:18, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Encouraging webcomic creators to expand articles on their comics

Please don't do this. We discourage people from expanding articles on their creations because it's more difficult for them to be objective about them. Gwalla | Talk 02:36, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Uncle Tom's Cabin

Thanks for your interest in the article. Unfortunately, you entered an error with your edit when you changed best-selling to second bestselling. Uncle Tom's Cabin was the best-selling novel and the second best-selling book of the century. This is correct since the Bible is not a novel. The citation for the statement backs this up. Thanks. --Alabamaboy 13:54, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. Sorry.
