The inaugural French Rugby Championship was organized by the Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques. It took place between Racing Club de France and Stade Français at the Parc de Bagatelle on 20 March 1892. The match was officiated by the founder of the modern Olympic Games, Pierre de Coubertin.
