Novel and Film by Andre Malraux (French title: L'Espoir) about the Spanish Civil War, in the 1930's. Considered as a masterpiece by European critics and an unique experience of filmmaking and writing during the events of the war (the movie was produced by Edouard Corniglion-Molinier).
