This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the countries of Western Asia with a spirit of cooperation.

Goals

The goals of this project are to:

create, improve, and maintain articles relating to the countries of Western Asia, their history, people, geography, and culture. Included are the independent nations of
- Afghanistan,
- Armenia,
- Azerbaijan,
- Bahrain,
- Cyprus,
- Georgia,
- Iraq,
- Israel,
- Jordan,
- Kuwait,
- Lebanon,
- Oman,
- Pakistan,
- Palestine,
- Qatar,
- Saudi Arabia,
- Syria,
- Turkey,
- United Arab Emirates, and
- Yemen.
assist with the various portals associated with the area.

Scope

The scope of this project is all articles which fall in the Category:Southeast Asian countries. We acknowledge up front that there may be other WikiProjects, both now and in the future, which deal directly with individual nations or areas within the above. We are deeply grateful and thankful for their efforts, and will concentrate our own on those areas which are not covered by a currently existing project. Based on the other existing projects, we will be dealing primarily with articles relating to Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates.
