The Jewish Defense Organization is a Right Wing Jewish organization. Founded and led by Mordechai Levy, it is a rival offshoot of the Jewish Defense League.

The JDO's security team often patrols Jewish neighborhoods to prevent anti-Semitic rioting/violence.

They are said to have beaten up Neo-Nazis, Skinheads, and followers of Louis Farrakhan. They have also acted as provocateurs, applying for a permit for a Neo-Nazi rally to see how other Jewish leaders would react.

Mordechai Levy is the founder and current leader of the JDO. Levy runs Camp Jabotinsky which provides self-defense and gun training for those willing and able. He is an avid follower of Ze'ev Jabotinsky, after whom the camp is named, and often follows his motto: better to know how to shoot and not need to, than to need to and not know how.

Mordechai Levy is also a convicted felon. He once tried to shoot the late former JDL National Chairman Irv Rubin who was about to enter his home and murder him. Using guns at Camp Jabotinsky is in violation of his parole so Levy has instructors teaching the kids and is miles away from this activity. Levy prevented one camper, whose parents had sent him to Camp Jabotinksy to stop him from entering a life of crime, from burning down the hotel many people were staying at.
